Council Consultation Regarding Surplus Secondary School Places

20 June 2021 (by admin)

Information about how to give your views.

Schools have been asked to draw parents’ attention to this consultation which will run between 21 June and 18 July 2021. This is the message:

Pupil number projections suggest that in future years there will be more places than there are pupils to fill them. By 2030 it is estimated that nearly 20% of places will not be needed and this could impact badly on some of our schools as they try to manage budgets and staffing levels.

Residents will also be able to give their opinions through the council’s Consultation portal on the website.

However, if they are unable to share their views via the council’s website, they can contact us on 01273 293653 and leave a message. We will call back and arrange to take down response.
