World Cup Rugby at The Amex

9th October 2015

On Sunday, 20th September, we (Louis, Toby and William) and Mr Smith went to the Amex Stadium to watch the world cup rugby match between Samoa and USA.

The atmosphere was amazing with about 30,000 people in the stadium. Many of the crowd were in fancy dress or had their faces painted with the country’s flags. It felt like a festival in the sun.

Samoa started brilliantly, moving quickly to a 10-0 lead and we all thought they were going to win easily. Then USA scored an amazing try, scoring in the corner. At half-time the score was 13-7 to Samoa. In the second half, Samoa were the stronger team and eventually won 25-16.

It was certainly a day to remember!
