Crumble Time

24th May 2016

No, I don’t mean apple crumble, I mean the credit card-sized mini-computers called ‘Crumble’ that the children in Year 5 have been using to learn programming skills. The children are currently using them to learn how to program a set of working traffic lights. As the Computing co-ordinator I want our children to see themselves as more than just users of technology, I want them to see themselves as creators. The children have been very enthusiastic and have come up with ideas for making mood lamps, robotic cars and an intruder (teacher!) alarm for next half term. Watch this space!
