These pages provide information and support for our parents and carers. For now there are some links to other sources of support but we aim to provide all sorts of information that parents may find of interest. What would you find helpful?

The Family Information Service (FIS) (formerly the Children's Information Service) is a free, impartial service giving detailed information and advice on childcare as well as general information on a wide range of services for children and young people aged 0-19 years and their families in the city. Parent Know How Leaflet
Parent Know How is a suite of eighteen services from the DCSF, delivered by leading third and private-sector organisations. Experts in the field such as Parentline Plus, Relate, Contact a Family and the Advisory Centre for Education (ACE) work to deliver support through helplines, social networking sites and instant messaging.
The Parent Know How team has produced this leaflet to help signpost parents to these services. It has been designed for people working with parents, rather than to be given to parents themselves.
